So far we are having a great summer. But you don’t want to bet against English weather as we all know. Not so long ago I bought a property near the beach down south in England. The property has 3 bedrooms, 2 receptions and 2 bathrooms. As the property was auctioned out it didn’t have any furniture. So I decided to buy modern furniture for this property. The reason I bought this property is I want to rent the property out for few years and then sell the property when the market price increases.

From my personal experience it has indeed helped the value of my property rise just by having eye catching modern furniture in place. I did the same thing with my old property not current but old, I am not homeless haha. The renovation I did by getting new interior and furniture I saw the value of my property rise by 5% in the market. It doesn’t sound like 5% is much but when you take 5% out of £250,000 then you will know it is indeed a lot of money. Yes it did cost me couple of thousand pounds to renovate the whole house but I made that money up by getting the 5% increase in the property.

I plan to do something similar with the new property I bought. As it is just infront of the beach I would like to rent the property for next couple of years and then see if I want to sell it or move in myself. To increase the price of the property I plan to add a conservatory in this property, which will certainly help. I also plan to make the interior of the property unique with some restaurant furniture in the kitchen and also big hotel furniture in the living room. You know what I mean, when you enter any hotel you see massive lounge with massive furniture, so something similar to that. Uniqueness I believe will win the heart of the person who is willing to rent the property.

I recommend people to renovate their property at least once a year if they wish to sell the property in the near future.

Last summer in June Michael Jackson the king of pop passed away. This year his custom made traditional and contemporary furniture will be put forward for auction on his death anniversary. We all know how he wanted to live and how he lived. He has always wanted to live in a castle like a king.

Michael never got to see his £14 million UK residence which he ordered the furniture for, now those furniture will be auctioned at a Julien’s Auction sale in Las Vegas on 25th June this year. All the furniture such as desks, sofas and chairs which he ordered for his UK residence will all be going on auction in Las Vegas. The furniture for the new house was not completed because the furniture were waiting to be shipped before the king of pop’s death.

The furniture was built by Colombostile in Milan. All of the furniture were hand picked like chairs, sofas, tables and desks and they were all custom made. Michael ordered 22 pieces of furniture which cost him $700,000 (£466,600). MJ always spent huge and this was another huge spending for his new property in the UK from him. Michael had planned to rent the UK residence after all the furniture was sorted but he never had the chance to see the furniture.

From the auction the Colombostile bosses are expecting £100,000 from the nine seat sofa designed by Giovanni Maria Malerba da Busca, which was also handmade. Michael Paid £143,300 ($213,000) for this sofa. The bosses have also said the profit will be paid to the Jackson family after previously coming to an arrangement with Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine.
